PERSIAN LANGUAGE AND ITS IMPACT ON ASSAMESE

The book entitled " Persian Language and Its Impact on Assamese' is about the amalgamation of the Persian and the Assamese language and impact of Persian words and culture on Assamese language. There have been many great Assamese poets who have created great books with or without knowing by imitating the Persian culture, words and language, full of precious Persian words in their writings, as a jug cannot contain the ocean, it is impossible to bring each and every one of them in this book. The book is consists of fifth chapters. First chapter deals with Assamese Language: An Introduction. Second chapter deals with Persian Language: An Introduction. Third chapter includes Influence of Persian on Assamese Language, Literature and Culture. Forth chapter presents about the Sufism and the Roles of Sufis to Promote Assamese Society and lastly the fifth chapter narrates about the Assamese Words of Persian Origin.
