Introduction to Islamic Sharia Law

This book covers the syllabus of “Introduction to Islamic law (ISS 213)” which is an NCE II First Semester Course, in colleges of education in Nigeria. The course deals with Islamic Sharia law such as Pre-Islamic Arabia’s Customary law, Islamic reform of the customary law, definition and scopes of sharia law, historical development of shari’a law, sources of shari’a law (Qur’an Sunna Ijima’a and Qiyas), four Sunni Schools of law, Importance of Shari’a in the Muslims and Implementation of Sharia in Nigeria, Issues, problems and prospect.
