The diagnosis of oral candidiasis is based on clinical signs and symptoms in conjunction with a thorough medical history, but the provisional diagnosis is often confirmed by further laboratory testing of clinical specimens so, a number of sampling methods to detect candida species have been developed. the conventional detection method for oral candida entails a culture of oral samples. it has been used for years because it is easy to performed & economic, but the disadvantages of culture is that it requires long time at least 3 days, moreover, with low positivity. so for this reasons, we tried to used other method to detect oral candida in short time but with high sensitivity & specificity by using oral rinse as a sampling method and it was investigated by using ELISA and compared to conventional method such as culture
