What Role Does Arabic Play in Saudi EFL Classes?

Against the commonly held belief in the Gulf countries, Arabic can be a useful pedagogical and learning tool that supports the learning of English for beginners. This book presents the findings of a research that confirms the positive role of Arabic in EFL classes in Saudi Arabia. It is hoped that pedagogues and textbook writers should find these findings informative and inspiring to to rethink the English only dogma that continues to drive many student away from their classrooms.
